Sikkim Government College, Namchi, 11.06.2024: A career counselling program was
conducted by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) for the final year students of all
the departments. The resource persons for the program were Mr. Anosh Lepcha, Assistant
Professor and Dr. Manjari Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies,
SMIT, Majhitar, Sikkim. The resource persons talked about the importance of stress
management, and communication skills and also about the importance of making informed choices
while selecting a subject for further studies. They also briefed the students on various
competitive examinations like UPSC and the level of preparation that is required for the same.
The speakers explained to the students about the MBA program offered by the Department of
Management Studies, SMIT. The job prospects and placement opportunities offered by
SMIT was also discussed. The session concluded with the briefing of different scholarship
schemes and facilities that could be availed by the students at SMIT.
