Namchi, 13 August 2024 — The annual induction ceremony for the 2024-25 academic session at SGC Namchi took place today at the institution’s auditorium. This year’s event, held across three sessions, commenced on 12 August 2024 and concluded by noon today.
The ceremony, which welcomed newly admitted students and their parents, was designed to familiarize attendees with the university’s systems and expectations. Parents were encouraged to attend to gain insight into the academic environment and to understand their role in supporting their children outside of the university setting.
During the event, attendees were introduced to the faculty and staff, including the Principal, Vice Principal, Dean, Administrative staff, and various non-teaching personnel. The program highlighted the comprehensive facilities available at SGC Namchi, including the library, specialized labs, sports facilities, annual fests, NCC, NSS, scholarships, and literary clubs, all aimed at fostering students’ overall development.

Admission procedures, student services, extracurricular activities, and discipline, covered by Dean Dr. Chewang D. Bhutia.

The Principal emphasized the importance of academic focus, the prudent use of available facilities, and the need to be vigilant against negative peer influences. He urged students to strive for excellence, uphold the dignity of their families and the institution, and remain motivated throughout their academic journey.
The ceremony also underscored the shared responsibility between teachers and parents in ensuring students’ educational success and personal growth.
