Today, NCC cadets of the Sikkim government college Namchi marked the 75th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Day (1 Sikkim girls NCC Battalion and 4 Sikkim NCC Battalion).
The program was graced by Colonel. D.D. Panday, along with subedar major Khem Chand, PI staff, and civil officers from the 4 Sikkim NCC Battalion, subedar Rajen Rai, GCI Angela Lepcha from the 1st Sikkim Girls NCC Battalion, assistant professor CTO from the college, NCC cadets, and students from the Namchi campus of the Sikkim government college.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Guest Col. D.D Pandey expressed his joy at seeing young people with NCC backgrounds succeeding in a variety of disciplines. He went on to explain the value of NCC, saying that it gives young cadets the training and discipline they need to succeed in modern society. According to him, having these traits can help someone achieve in life. He challenged pupils to have a clear understanding of their life’s objectives and purpose.
many cadets were felicitated by Col.D.D. Pandey for their outstanding achievements in NCC, later in the program, miss Malavika Rai of 1 Sikkim Girls NCC battalion, and Dr. Bikash Sharma of the 4 Sikkim NCC battalion honored both battalions.
The program consisted of mass gatherings and multiple cultural and musical events.
