On 14^th of March 2024, students of Mathematics Department Sikkim Government College, Namchi celebrate Pi Day. Pi ( is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant- the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter which is approximately 3.14. Students discussed on various topics like:

1. Contribution of Archimedes in framing the concepts of circle and value of “Pi”.
2. Concept of KATAPAYADI Sankhya.
3. Major contributions of “Pi” in Astronomical societies.
4. A great contribution made by famous mathematician Euclid.
